| Chara's relationship with themself is somewhat nightmarish. Having seen and been through far too much for someone of their age, the DETERMINATION that has ensured their survival thus far has grown exceptionally bitter and jaded, and much of their actions are based on an inherent sense of self loathing over what they perceive to be consequences of their own actions. Alongside this deprecation of self is a deep seeded bitterness towards others who have had a part to play, and the double standards that have evolved from the monsters towards Frisk. Markedly intelligent, Chara's distrust of others ensures that they hide how they feel behind razor sharp wordage and a pointed smile. Their ability to care for others has been under constant fire recently, and though they've made a valiant attempt to achieve the opposite, they can no longer ignore that they care, regardless of whether their feelings are returned. They run a thin line between exceptionally independent, whilst sharing many co-dependency traits with Frisk and Asriel. Sans, Wade, and Rin Tohsaka have also become pillars of strength that Chara readily draws upon when given little option otherwise. Recent events have caused Chara to abandon prior agreements with Ozuma that ensured their permanent death. Though the burden is heavy on their SOUL, Chara stands ready to walk with Frisk to the edge of the cauldron to hell. For where else was their LOVE ever meant to end? |
